The proposed building to which this tectonic study belongs
aims to be a representation of how the forces of nature
combine to create balance and harmony. The key to this
statement in this building is represented by The Celtic Tree
of Life, which acts as my main conceptual inspiration. I find
it to be a powerful statement as it is contextually relevant
and spiritually inclusive with many religions.

The artifact represents a portion of a Tree column, a branching structure coming from a column that rises from the ground with its full diameter, like the trunk of a tree. This supports  a skylight featuring a Celtic pattern through wooden beams.

The chosen structural element is composed of a cylindrical column, metal reinforcement, and wooden beams.

The column features 18 times the section I use to replicate (18 timber beams that wrap the cylindrical column opening up in a tree-like branching way, to be the main support for the Celtic skylight.
